It is therefore edgier and has a punk element to it,” explains Yeoman, who graduated as a fashion designer from the Iceland Academy of Arts in 2006 and now teaches there. Yeoman has also studied art and her vibrant and sensual illustrations are coveted by art and design enthusiasts. “The essence of everything I do is illustration; I always begin by sketching. Sometimes they evolve into an accessory but at other times they end up as a decoration for somebody’s wall. I love to experiment; to mix handicraft into my designs, to drape and to embroider. To me, it is very important that old techniques don’t get lost with time and technology.” Available at KronKron, Mýrin and select London shops.
