ICELAND REVIEW 19 SOUNDS OF INSPIRATION IR: How has it been to see your work performed at Harpa? How does it compare to other venues? AÞ: It feels to me as if we have grown up here. We now have a real concert hall and that is amazing. It really compares to the highest standards that you see abroad, which is a big deal for a small country like Iceland. It’s a beautiful building and has great acoustics. There are three main concert halls and they’re all good for different things. Most people here know that we used to have the orchestra in the cinema so there’s really no comparison! IR: What is next for you? AÞ: I’m working on a few projects at the moment, for example an evening-length piece for the New York-based ICE [International Contemporary Ensemble]. I’m also working on a piece for an orchestra and choir in Italy, a music score for an Icelandic movie, and a couple of smaller pieces. 
