28 ICELAND REVIEW ThE IMAGE MAkERs different fields, artists are working together. Everybody knows each other: a person knows a person, who knows a person, who can lend you a projector, space or a bass. here, it’s not about money— there is no money in the icelandic creative industries. the driving force here in iceland is to create, money is just a bonus.” ingibjörg continues, “there is no money in making music videos, therefore i have great creative freedom. the record company or the artist cannot make demands, paying so little for so much. in one way it’s good as you can gain experience and do the things you like with interesting people. the mentality here is different, we’re not thinking about getting an agent all the time, or getting rich.” the cover of Valtari was inspired by the light and airy feeling ingibjörg and lilja sensed while listening to the music. it shows a floating ship, photographed from air by lilja and hand-painted with oil by ingibjörg. is the ship floating in heaven or on earth? We will never know. 
