Iceland review - 2014, Side 10
8 ICELAND REVIEW art ÞúFA ‘Þúfa’, which translates as tussock, is a new work of art by artist Ólöf nordal located by the entrance channel to reykjavík’s old harbor. on top of the eight-meter high tussock is a wooden shed for drying fish, which used to be common procedure in iceland. Ólöf nordal’s work of art was the winner in a competition held by the largest fishing company in iceland, HB Grandi, and is sta- tioned on their lot. From the top, visitors get a perfect panoramic view over reykjavík’s northern shore as well as Faxaflói bay. * WoRDS AnD PHoTo By Páll StefánSSon
