The unique fish leather produced at our tannery has been
embraced by craftsmen and designers all over the world, as
well as such internationally renowned brands as Prada, Dior
and Nike. After a visit to the Tannery Visitor Centre, you will
understand why.
Our boutique offers an example of the wide variety of goods
made from our leather, or you can buy leather and skins
directly from us, Iceland’s only tannery. These include not only
fish leather, but also long-haired lambskin, goatskin, sealskin,
calfskin and more.
From 15. May to 15. September,
the Tannery Visitor Centre is open
from 10:00 to 18:00 on Monday–Friday
and from 11:00 to 15:00 on Saturdays and Sundays
Guided tours of the tannery on working days at 10:00
and 14:00, or by arrangement. Price is ISK 500 per person
