Whatever the need or reason to learn Icelandic, with a little investigation a stu- dent is sure to discover just the right pro- gram of studies, just the right grammar textbook and just the right dictionary. Most commercial course materials such as that offered by Linguaphone and gram- mar textbooks can be special ordered through your local bookstore. Icelandic language dictionaries on the other hand are not typically stocked by North Ameri- can bookstores and are best purchased di- rectly from Iceland. 1.
