He is a Unitarian Universalist minister serving along with his wife Kathleen Rolen/, as co-minister of the West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church near Cleveland, Ohio. NINNA BJARNASON CAMPBELL, received an honourary life membership from the Edmonton Chapter of the Icelandic National League for her outstanding con- tribution to the Nordurljos Chapter and the Icelandic community. She now lives in Winnipeg so that she can be closer to her grandchildren. JON BALDVIN HANNIBALSSON is the Ambassador of Iceland to the United States and Canada. RICHARD A. JOHNSON, P.Eng. (Retired), is senior scholar President's Office at the University of Manitoba and a member of the VIP Millennium Campaign Cabinet. SIGRID JOHNSON is the Librarian of the Icelandic Collection at the Elizabeth Dafoe Library on the University of Manitoba Campus. She is the acting editor of the Icelandic Canadian Magazine. She is involved in several other organizations. “K.N.” KRISTJAN NIELS JULIUS, 1859-1936, authored several books and hun- dreds of poems. He was noted for his humour and satire. JOHN S. MATTHIASSON is a senior scholar with the Department of Anthropology of the University of Manitoba. He is the author of Living on the Land: Culture Change Among th Inuit of northern Baffin Island, and presently resides in Gimli, Manitoba. DONNA SKARDAL and her husband, Norman, are retired farmers who live north of Baldur, Manitoba. She is the daughter of the late John and Laura Christopherson of Baldur, and the great granddaughter of Sigur3ur Kristofersson and Caroline Taylor, who homesteaded at Husavik, and Skuli Arnason and SigriQur Erlendsdottir, who home- steaded Braeraborg in New Iceland. ROSALIND VIGFUSSON is the daughter of Johannes Palsson and Olga Johannesson (nee Holm; Palsson) of Arborg, Manitoba. Johannes was descended from Skagafjordur and Olga from Eyjafjordur. Rosalind is a retired nurse. She is known for her musical capabilities.
