See Iceland this autumn — winter
at bargain prices of $388-$508
NEW YORK — Iceland is making it
hard for travelers not to pay a visit to
the Land of Fire and Ice this autumn
and winter. The Viking land on the
north-western rim of Europe is offer-
ing Adventure Weeks from just $489,
including airfare from New York, and
Adventure Weekends from just $388.
Unnur Kendall, Director of the
Icelandic National Tourist Office in
New York, said that the Adventure
programs have been priced enticingly
low to attract budget-conscious
travelers during the normally slower
autumn and winter vacation seasons.
She said that an Adventure Week pro-
gram to Reykjavik, capital of Iceland,
costs from just $489 to $508, and that
an Adventure Weekend, from $388 to
$399.
Inclusions in the Adventure Week
program are roundtrip airfare from
New York, transfers by motorcoach
between airport and hotel in Reyk-
javik, first class accommodations on a
double occupancy basis at the first
class Hotel Loftleidir, continental
breakfast daily, and admission to the
hotel's swimming pool and sauna. The
Adventure Week also features a Viking
Table luncheon feast of traditional
Icelandic specialties and a guided
sightseeing tour of Reykjavik. Six-night
Adventure Weeks are priced at $489
and seven-night Weeks are $508, ac-
