On behalf of the Lögberg-
Heimskringla Board, I would like to
acknowledge and sincerely thank the
Government of Iceland for the con-
tinuing financial support of our pa-
per. This support is much appreciated
and greatly needed.
During a recent and brief visit to
Iceland in }une, through the efforts
and cooperation of Þórður Einarsson,
Ambassador of Iceland, and
Guðmundur Björgvin Helgason, First
Secretary, Ministry for Foreign Af-
fairs, I was presented with a cheque
by Mr. Helgason. My only regret was
that I was unable to alter my ftight
departure plans to acceptthe cheque
in a more formal manner. The trip, as
always, was mostpleasant Receiving
the financial support was “extra spe-
cial”.
