Dinner Opens Social Season;
“O” Wives Treated To Music
by Susie M. Hamilton
The Keflavik CPO Wives Club held their second installation dinner dance on Friday,
Sept. 24 in the main ballroom of the CPO Club. A cornucopia of Autumn decorations
with individual woodrose cosages, lush foliage and a carnation decorated cake was the
result of work by Mesdumes Watson, Hausauer, Jones, Yilek and Baker.
The Invocation was given by Chaplain Blade followed by a fine steak dinner. Cap-
tain Pierre praised club functions and talked about driving safety during fall and win-
ter weather.
Best Wishes To All
The outgoing President, Mrs.
Helen Watson, expressed thanks
and best wishes to the incoming
group of officers. Mrs. Watson
received a commemorative plaque
with a gold gavel affixed as a
gift from the club members.

Honored Guests
This special evening was made
possible by the attendance of the
following honored guests and
members. Honored guests: Cap-
tain and Mrs. Pierre, Chaplain

tending this luncheon deserve
credit for their creativeness.
An added highlight of this
social gathering was the delight-
ful folk singing of Janice and
Clare Bratten. The girls, provid-
ing their own guitar accompani-
ment, gave a fine performance
which was very well-received by
the Officers’ Wives Club mem-
bers and their guests.
