Fireworks
A record breaking total 1,275 tons of fireworks was
imported to celebrate New Year’s ‘06/’07, a number
that has doubled since three years ago. The fireworks
caused airborne particle pollution to reach 550 µg /m3
(micrograms per cubic metre) on New Year’s eve, more
than ten times the established public health limit of 50
