STEYPA
Old Herring Factory, Djúpavík
June 1 - August 31
The old herring factory in Djúpavík has exchanged fish for photog-
raphy. Djúpavík, in Iceland’s mystifying Westfjords, is the host of a
summer long photography exhibit entitled, STEYPA (Icelandic for
concrete). The exhibit will feature the work of both Icelanders and
non-Icelanders as they each explore their unique experience with
Iceland. If the scenery wasn’t reason enough to take a drive to the
Westfjords, you now have another excuse. SS
