Before the madness of
Airwaves unleashes on the
12th, take a breather, chill
out and contemplate the
wonder of wordplay – the
Reykjavík International
Poetry Festival is large and
in charge! This year, under
the new artistic direction
of Canadian poet Angela
Rawlings, the festival is
hosting some fifteen local
and four international po-
ets, with local poets work-
ing as translators, and
featuring music, perfor-
mance art, visual projects
and tons more. They have
also teamed up with ex-
periental super-collective
S.L.Á.T.U.R. for two nights
of multi-disciplinary per-
formances. We also hear
there may be some cheap
booze lying around, poets
needing their poison and
all...
