needed for the 11 a.m. Protestant musical

Security Note
• Traffic will be rerouted due to Force
Protection upgrade construction to base
gates. Gate 1. the main gate, will be closed

NAS Analysis Division
• Annual audit reports required by
NASKEFINST 1710.2A are overdue. The
president of each organization is responsible
for forwarding a copy of the audit report to
NAS Administration by July 31.
First Class Association
• The Keflavik First Class Association invites
all E-6s to attend meetings and training at
11:30 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday of

Girl Scouts
• Volunteers are needed for the 2001/02 Girl
Scouting year. Leaders are needed for all age

The American Embassy invites all interested
persons to take the first step toward an
exciting and rewarding career as a U.S.
Foreign Service Officer: taking a test.
The Embassy will give this year's Foreign
Service Written Examination on Sept 29,
2001. The Embassy encourages anyone
who is interested to register for this exam by
Aug 10.

Arctic Striders
The Arctic Striders Base Running Club is for
people at every level of training. Join them
for a walk or run at 7 a.m., Saturdays and 5
p.m., Tuesdays.
Icelandic Holiday
On Aug. 6 Iceland celebrates the Mercantile
Holiday, or ‘Verslunarmannahelgin’. The day
is a holiday for all working people through-
out Iceland. Various festivals will take place
throughout Iceland. Contact the FFSC for
more information.
Fil-Am Association
The NAS Filipino-American Association has
scheduled a potluck dinner to take place at
6:30 p.m., July 21, at the Community Center.
The event is free, just bring a dish or dessert
to share with others.
Hispanic/American Club
The NAS Keflavik Hispanic/ American
Association is looking for new members.
The small organization has provided the
community with scholarships, Hispanic
Heritage Month activities, Cinco de Mayo
festivities and an array of authentic dining
experiences.
Meetings are at 6:30 p.m. the second and
fourth Tuesday of the month at the new USO
