tive and adequate therapeutic instruments.
Abstract:
A number of different clinical and labo-
ratory features clearly show, that immuno-
logical mechanisms play a role of major
importance in rheumatic diseases or in-
flammatory connective tissue diseases dis-
eases (ICTD). The information is reviewed
and it is briefly mentioned how immuno-
logical technique is presently used for
clinical routine and diagnostic classifica-
tion of ICTDs. Future research in ICTD
will include and coordinate several app-
roaches including infection, cytoimmuno-
logy, functions of the immune system,
genetic analysis etc. Information along
these lines may be used as more firm con-
struction for the basis of future therapy.
