Donald Russell Horton was born Aug. 6
at 6:23 p.m. Son of SSgt. Donald Ray
Horton and Ailene Sue Horton. SSgt.
Horton works with the 57th Fighter In-
terceptor Squadron.
Rebecca Lynn Reeves was born /.ag. 8
at 11:34 p.m. Daughter of TSgt.
Maxfield C. Reeves and Edna May Reeves.
TSgt. Reeves works with the 57th
Fighter Interceptor Squadron in the in-
strument shop.
Erica Lee Stringer was born Aug. 8
at 1:01 p.m. Daughter of Sgt. John P.
Stringer and Pamela J. Stringer. Sgt.
Stringer is with the 932nd Aircraft
Control and Warning Squadron.
Jon Eric Oosterman was born on Aug. 8,
at 8:52 p.m. He is the son of P02
Raymond D. and Kathleen P. Oosterman.
P02 Oosterman works for the Naval
Station Administrative Department.
The Navy Resale System Office has
published a hazardous warning, concern-
ing Great American Frying Machines Model
#7000 Mini Electric Deep Fryers, manu-
factured by American Electric Corpora-
tion, which may pose an electric shock
hazard. Any customer who may have pur-
chased this model during 1977 should re-
turn it to the Navy Exchange for full
credit. This warning does not apply to
any other American Electric Corporation
product.
Have you visited the NEX Personalized
Services Center recently? The shipments
of fresh flowers are still arriving
twice weekly on Tuesdays.
Clock repair service is available for
patron convenience. A limited quantity
of oil paintings has been received from
Italy and are being sold in the Person-
alized Services Center. These paintings
range in sizes 9" by 10" and 24" by 36".
Performers who lack an audience and
only sing in the shower, here’s your big
chance. The USO will be having two
folk nights: Monday and Sept. 4. Folk
singing is scheduled. Call Carol at
7980 or 6113 for more details.
Tomorrow the USO tour will go to
Whale Bay-Thingvellir from 10 a.m. to
6 p.m. Sunday there will be a tour to
Glymer Falls. The Gullfoss-Geysir tour
for Monday has been cancelled. Tuesday
there will be the hot pools tour in Rey-
kjavik from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Thurs-
day the last "Light Nights" tour will
leave at 7:30 p.m.
Spotlighted tomorrow will be "Let’s
Make a Deal". Barb will use a variety
of games and give each winner a chance
at "The Big Deal."
Lieutenant Commander M. D. Cords from
the Dispensary will discuss and demon-
strate cardio pulmonary respiration
(CPR) Monday at 7 p.m.
The Protestant Women of the Church
will be serving a hot chili supper Thurs-
day for single and unaccompanied per-
sonnel .
Youth Center offers
classes and sweatshirts
The Youth Center needs people to
assist or originate a program or
class. Your area of specialization may
be exactly what the center desires.
Call the Youth Center at 5108 or 7822.
Camp sweatshirts are available at the
Youth Center office, while the supply
lasts. Sale hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The arts and crafts program for
August at the Youth Center will be on
Mondays and Thursdays for ages six to
18.
Midnight Sundowners
host open house
The Midnight Sundowners Square Dance
Club will be hosting an open house to-
morrow and Aug. 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at
the A. T. Mahan Elementary School.
Dick Bull, the club’s caller, will
show some basic moves. Refreshments
will be served.
Square dance classes will begin Sept.
2 at 6:30 p.m.
