PTO
to
assemble
The Keflavik Parent Teacher Or-
ganization will have its first
meeting, followed by an open house
at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the A. T.
Mahan High School.
"We plan to discuss the goals,
projects and budget for the year
and to survey parents and teacher?
for ideas and suggestions," ex-
plains PTO president Dea Cole.
The PTO carnival, the main
source of funds for PTO projects,
will be emphasized. Parents and
teachers may also join the PTO at
this meeting. Dues for one year
are $1.
The open house, which will con-
tinue at both the upper and lower
schools until 9 p.m., will give
parents an opportunity to meet
the teachers and view school
facilities and materials being
used.
Parents may also learn how
they can help teachers with class-
room activities.
The Boy and Girl Scouts will
also have displays and sign up
tables.
