Final month of bowling; 960th
& CommSta NRK hold slim lead
-Short shots-
The base gym will be closed on
Feb. 22 for pest control.
As intramural bowling moves into
its final month of play, two races
are beginning to look as if they
are over, while two are still in the
balance.
Specomm holds a 10-game bulge in
the International and Medical is up
by six in the National, and only a
complete reversal of their shown
performance would knock them from
the top spots.
The leagues still being contested
are Monday night's American and
North Atlantic. The 960th AWACSS
holds a slim one and half game edge
in the American while CommSta NRK,
last year's base champs, are ahead
by two and a half.
In Monday's action in the Ameri-
can League, things basically re-
mained unchanged as far as the top
teams go. The 960th pasted IDF for
three behind Bob Fulwider's 225 game
and 558 set, Joe Morowski's 551, Ed
Jones' 537 and John Wright's 518.

with a 3-1 win over VP-23 behind
Jack Roberts' 200 and 534. Jim Aus-
tin's 204 and 555 led the 57th past
AIMD 3-1, and the Commissary shutout
Comptroller with Norm Bemis rolling
a 531, Reynaldo Vitocruz a 213 and
523 and Tony Cuerpo a 503 for the
winners and Calvin Pauling pacing
the losers with a 200 and 538. AFI
was a 3-1 winner over NavCommSta
with Bob Couturier rolling games of
202 and 203 and a 547 set for AFI.
Bruce Michaelson followed with a 540
and Paul Cozort added a 503. Mike
Varney was high for CommSta with a
506. Navy Broadcasting blanked Nav-
Fac in the remaining match.
Doug Drewry's 200 and 569 and
Dean Granger's 203 and 507 led first
place CommSta NRK to a 3-1 decision
over Public Works in the North At-

three. Dan Cain had a 222 game for
the Marines. CFK shutout NavFac be-
hind Bill Davies' 200 and 545, John
Burk's 508, Ed Sibel's 507 and Jim
Fales' 200. Nick Nassar rolled a
536 as AIMD won three from Supply

ner over IsComlce and Air Ops and
