Perfection is not
always a winner
These are the final totals for
the Keflavik intramural basketball
leagues for the 1979-80 season.
Scoring from the games played 17-21
December were not available while
compiling statistics. Since it was
not possible to determine who got
into each game, it was determined
that the number of games played in
be figured from those who scored at
least one point in any of the games.
Because of the volume of players in
the three leagues, qualifying marks
were set as the season went on. The
final leaders were based upon a min-
imum of six games played in and a
minimum of 10 free throws attempted.
The NATO base would like to congrat-
ulate those players who had good
years but did not qualify for the
leaders. Ken Jackson of 932nd Rock-
ville hit 8 of 8 free throws, Calvin
Pauling of AFI and Jay Smith of IDF
hit 5 of 5 free throws, Tommy Royer
of 57th FIS (B) hit 8 of 9 free
throws for 88%, Art Flood of NavFac
hit 6 of 7 free throws for 85% and
Steve Johnson of VP-23 (Z) made good
on 5 of 6 free throws for 83%. Ed
Washington of NSGA averaged 23
points in his two appearances.
