tween Base Golfers and the Keflavik
Club. There will be a dinner at the
IOfficer's Club following the match,

The Womens Softball team took
first place in the regional tourney.
This is national "Avoid Boredom
Week" and to celebrate, the USO is
holding its regular occasional table
tennis tournament tomorrow. Star-
ting time is 1 p.m. and prizes will
be awarded for both singles and
doubles. Spectators are invited to
avoid boredom by spectating or par-
ticipating in this non-boring event.

Russ Beard and Terri Jankoviak
outlasted 141 other contestants and
took first place honors in last
weekend's no tap tournament spon-
sored by the Keflavik Men's Bowling
Association.
Beard topped the men's division
with an outstanding 732 while Jan-
koviak paced the women’s division
with a 657.
High game honors went to Dan Shea
for the men with a sizzling 288 and
Jankoviak's 239 was good enough to
top the women's competitors.
Second place for the women went
to Nanna Roberts with a 645 series
while Kathy Campbell and Linda Pa-
trizi grabbed the third and fourth
spots with a 608 and 579 respect-
ively.
Dan Bushong was the second place
finisher for the men with a fine 709
while Doug Larson's 707 earned him
third and Jeff McLucas placed fourth
with a 677. Don Phelps captured the
fifth spot with a 672, Dan Smith and
Bob Shaffer tied for sixth place.
Both men rolled 564 series. Jack
Torbert, Joe Floirendo and Don Cook
grabbed the last three spots with
653, 643 and 629 respectively.

Powell of the Marines shot a
high score of 180. GSE's Holman
captured highest on with a 146 and
his teammate Durr closed out a game
with a score of 160. Elliot of the
Marines had 30 100 games and the
fastest 301 game was recorded by
Boren of GSE. The trophies have be-
gun to arrive so watch for the place
and time to pick yours up.
Due to the problem of basketball
games extending beyond the allotted
time, two 15 minute halfs will be
played for the remainder of the sum-
mer league, rather than four eight
minute quarters. The last two min-
utes of each half will be stopped
clock. This will take effect To-
morrow.
