General Information
The XXIX Congress of the Nordic Association of Otolaryngology
is held at the Nordica hotel, Sudurlandsbraut 2, 108 Reykjavík,
June 15-18, 2005. The hotel is within walking distance from the
city centre and close to Laugardalur, recreation area, with one of
Reykjavík’s biggest out-door swimming pools.
Banking facilities
A bank is located in Nordica hotel. Opening hours are Monday to
Friday from 09:15-16:00. Money exchange service is also available
at the Tourist Information Centre, Aðalstræti 4. Opening hours
are from 08:30-18:00.
Breaks
Coffee, tea and refreshments are served during the coffee breaks.
Chairs
Please be present in your session hall at least 15 minutes prior to
your session. It is important that the session stay on schedule so
that individuals who want to hear a specific talk may do so without
concerns of time. It is thus vital that all speakers observe their
time allotment.
Congress badges
Your personal badge is your entrance ticket to all sessions and you
are asked to wear it throughout the congress. Should you misplace
you badge, a replacement can be obtained at the Congress infor-
mation desk.
Credit cards
Commonly accepted cards in hotels, shops, restaurants and at the
Secretariat are: Visa, MasterCard and EuroCard.
Excursions
Excursions for participants and accompanying persons are avail-
able and detailed information and tickets can be obtained at the
Congress information desk.
Exhibition
The exhibition is open during the conference and is located in the
foyer of session halls A+B.
Language
All presentations are in English, no simultaneous translation is
provided.
Lunches
Lunches on June 16 and 17 are included in the registration fee
and will be served in the foyer of session halls A+B, that is the
exhibition area.
Messages
Messages will be posted on a bulletin board near the Congress
information desk.
