Mid-morning
Logi Leó Gunnarsson,
artist
I walk over to the Reykjavík art
museum, Hafnarhús, check out
the cool exhibitions they have on
and grab a free cup of coffee. I
continue my walk and head for
the city pond. I pass through the
‘Perlufesti’ sculpture garden on
my way to the National Gallery
of Iceland. After experiencing
the architecture and interesting
exhibitions I enjoy another free
cup of coffee. Afterwards, I drop
by the Ásgrímur Jónsson Col-
lection on Bergstaðarstræti for
a quick down to earth moment.
Lunch
Bára Halldórsdóttir,
activist
I meet my oldest and closest
friend, Sunna, at Kaktus Espres-
sobar on Vitastígur. Sunna or-
ders a yummy sweet potato soup
with bread, and I have the deli-
cious scones and a latte. We talk
about nothing and everything
for about an hour.
In the heat of the night
Ásta Kristín
Pjetursdóttir, musician
In the evening, my friends and I
are looking fabulous and ready
to go dancing. It’s like ‘Sex and
the City: Reykjavík Edition,’ as we
stroll down Laugavegur. We head
to Kiki and become best friends
with the DJ. He plays all the songs
we ask for and we dance our asses
off all night to Rihanna, Sand-
storm, Scooter, Justin Timber-
lake, and all the other maestros.
