The verdant Jungle Cocktail Bar
came in like a tropical storm
this winter. Devoted to the ele-
vation of all things cocktail cul-
ture, some of Jungle’s stranger
offerings over the past months
have included a kale cocktail, but
there’s no shortage of level-head-
ed concoctions like the signa-
ture “The Bombshell” (tequila,
rhubarb, vermouth) along with
any classic you can name. Sink
into their leathery lounge chairs
during an unbeatable happy hour
and you won’t be able to leave
even if you wanted to. RE

Headed up by the owners of be-
loved clothing store Húrra Reyk-
javík, Yuzu is an artisanal burger
shop with an Eastern twist. Stop
by for their lunch deal, which fea-
tures a choice of burgers, with
fries and spiced mayonnaise for
1,990 ISK. They’ve also got a kim-
chi chicken burger—not part of
the lunch deal—which sounds
deliciously intriguing. Real-talk:
Yuzu’s condiments converted two
previously mayo-averse Grape-

Mandi Pizza

Feeling down and desolate about
the closure of Nonnabiti in Sep-
tember? Good news! There is a
new place to get your late-night
spice fix. Mandi Pizza is the an-
swer to the question: What can
I eat if I’ve had Mandi shawarma
six days in a row, and I want
something different? Try the ke-
bab pizza, and make sure to cover
it in that good ole’ Mandi white

Don’t be fooled. Nothing about
the interior of this place is
punk. The pink plush bar stools,
the multicoloured lights in the
hanging foliage, the menu with
artisan tacos and fruity drinks,
the playlist with house pop re-
mixes, all give more of a lounge
in Miami vibe than anything
punk. Nevertheless, the seating
is comfortable, the atmosphere
is cool, the food and drinks are
delicious, and the music fits the
interior atmosphere nicely. Try
