The perithecia, seated gregariously beneath the epiderm are globose,
though as a rule somewhat flattened, with a diameter of 0.2—0.3 mm
and with a short orifice. Asci cylindrical, curved, stalkless or short-stalked,
70X20/t,surrounded by filiform ca. 2 fi broad pseudoparaphyses, 8-spored.
Spores biseriate, hyaline, fusiform, somewhat curved, ends obtuse, 3
transversc walls, without constrictions, witli a mucous envelope, 20—22
