INSPIRED BY NATURE
Artist Aldís Einarsdóttir is one of Iceland’s most skilled potters. She produces a variety of
beautiful objects, designing all of them herself. She draws her inspiration from Icelandic
nature, and being a keen rider, she has come to know Iceland’s stunning wildernesses
through her treks around the country. All her pottery is produced from high-quality stone
clay and porcelain, burned at 1,280 degrees Celsius, and some objects also feature
Icelandic lava. The glaze used in their production is under strict quality control, containing
no toxic chemicals or lead. Gold and white gold is also incorporated and is burned at 800
degrees Celsius. Aldís’ artwork includes candle sticks, vases, bowls and lanterns. In
December, tea sets, schnapps sets and ovenproof dishes will be available. Aldís has also
begun taking orders from individuals and companies, often incorporating a company logo
or a special idea. In this way, she creates very personal and unique objects which have

AWARD WINNING WHISKIES
