INSPIRED BY NATURE
Artist Aldís Einarsdóttir is one of Iceland’s most skilled potters. She produces a variety of
beautiful objects, designing all of them herself. She draws her inspiration from Icelandic
nature, and being a keen rider, she has come to know Iceland’s stunning wildernesses
through her treks around the country. All her pottery is produced from high-quality stone
clay and porcelain, burned at 1,280 degrees Celsius, and some objects also feature
Icelandic lava. The glaze used in their production is under strict quality control, containing
no toxic chemicals or lead. Gold and white gold is also incorporated and is burned at 800
degrees Celsius. Aldís’ artwork includes candle sticks, vases, bowls and lanterns. In
December, tea sets, schnapps sets and ovenproof dishes will be available. Aldís has also
begun taking orders from individuals and companies, often incorporating a company logo
or a special idea. In this way, she creates very personal and unique objects which have
proved to be very popular. Available at the Icemart store at Keflavík International Airport.

FORCES OF NATURE
Purity Herbs is an Icelandic skincare company which uses only 100 percent natural ingredients from the
pure, unpolluted nature of Iceland. In the last eight years, Purity Herbs have developed over 50 different
kinds of creams and oils which all use a natural preservative unique to the company. The world is waking
up to the fact that all the chemical additives and preservatives present in food and skincare can lead to
allergies and skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Purity Herbs is proud to offer the best possi-
ble products from nature’s own pharmacy – Iceland’s powerful plants and herbs. These are hand-picked
by farmers around the country who respect nature and only cut part of the plant, making sure it will grow
again the following spring. Purity Herbs have developed a range of bath oils for the Hveragerdi Health
Spa, including a Relaxing Bath Oil and Bath Oil for Arthritis. Their most popular product is, undoubtedly,
the Oil for Lovers, a high-quality massage oil which is safe to use on even the most sensitive of body parts.
It contains potent herbs which are renowned for their aphrodisiac qualities. Purity Herbs products are
available at the Icemart store at Keflavík International Airport.
