Icelandair’s staff and their families had a rip-roaring time at the Nauthólsvík geot-
hermal beach recently. Children of all ages were entertained by bands, clowns
and an incredible parachute show. Afterwards, Icelandair executives and man-
agers hosted a barbecue, flipping burgers beneath the warm evening sun.
Icelandair and STAFF, Icelandair’s staff association, joined hands for this family fun
day, maintaining the great team spirit that characterises Icelandair’s employees.
Leaving Icelandair after a combined total of 140 years, Davíd Vilhelmsson,
Regional Manager EasternEurope, Yves Bertino, Regional Manager Belgium &
Netherlands, Mike Skillman, Supervisor Reservation and Ticketing in France, and
Harald Rytz, Manager of Administration in Scandinavia, received high praise at
their farewell gathering from Sigurdur Helgason, Icelandair’s President and CEO,
and Steinn Logi Björnsson, SVP Sales and Marketing. During the ceremony, the
men were honoured for their outstanding commitment and hard work, main-
taining the marketing strength of Icelandair’s offices abroad. For years they have
been a part of the Icelandair marketing and sales team, marketing Iceland as a
