It’s easy to get a feeling of déja vu, even for a first-time visitor to New York. New York’s cityscape has been pictured in countless movies and TV shows. But despite this strange familiarity, and even though I’ve been visiting the city on a regular basis for the past 15 years, New York never ceases to surprise. Mindful of not ingesting too much of the city, I decided to spend my long New York is perfect to visit all 12 months of the year. However, the city is at its best in September and October when the autumn paints the leaves red and golden and the temperature is just right for strolling around. Jón Kaldal took a walk from Manhattan's not so wild side of SoHo to the more edgy Lower East Side, crossing through Little Italy and crowded Chinatown along the way.
