Iceland is exempt from the recently implemented law abolishing tax- and duty-free sales to travellers within the European Union (EU).
Iceland is not a member of the EU and therefore not affected by the change. In other words, Leifur Eiríksson Terminal is easy on the wal-
let!
With stores open for all incoming and outgoing flights, the terminal provides travellers with a plethora of buying opportunities. All mer-
chandise available at the terminal are both tax- and duty-free, and prices are extremely competitive. The decision to end intra-EU duty-free
sales is increasing the already flourishing tax- and duty-free trade at the Leifur Eiríksson Terminal, located at Keflavík International Airport,
while at the same time equalising taxes among EU member states.
Icelandair does not fly between any destinations within the EU. Thus, Icelandair passengers can shop duty-free at all European destina-
tions, as well as in Iceland, when arriving and departing.

A SPECIAL ATLANTICA SUPPLEMENT
A NEW PEAK OF PERFECTION
Chocolate. We all love it. Is there a better snack? No, and the best
chocolate has to be Toblerone – that delicious Swiss chocolate with
almonds and honey nougat.
With a new, enhanced packaging for travel retail’s number one con-
fectionery brand, the great-tasting chocolate stands out even more
on the shelf, looking that much more tempting.
The clever shading and the vignettes, whether in matt gold on the
original packaging, velvet blue on Toblerone Dark or elegant grey on
Toblerone White, gives the packaging a three-dimensional effect. Yes,
upon catching a glimpse of the creamy chocolate, your mouth will
begin to water.
Where can you satisfy this craving? The Duty Free Shop in Leifur
Eiríksson Terminal, at Keflavík International Airport.
Spice it Up
Pottagaldrar (Potmagic) specialises in herb & spice blends for easy,
modern and creative cooking. The company started in 1989 with only
six blends, which were sold at weekend markets. Today, Potmagic
has a range of 75 items and the company’s products are sold in all
major supermarkets throughout Iceland.
The blend names, such as Lamb Islandia or The Fish Blend, indicate
which foods work best with the blends. However, there are always
exceptions to the rule, as Lamb Islandia is also great in potato dish-
es and turkey stuffing!
The entire product range contains no harmful substitutes such as
MSG.
Potmagic blends are available at Íslandica, located at Keflavík
International Airport.
