After sitting on an airplane envious of that funky
artistic type listening the flight away on her
iPod, or the disinterested teenager watching
the TV show “Lost” on an iPod nano, maybe
it’s time you jump on the Apple bandwagon and
get wired for sound.
You’re in luck. When walking through Keflavík
International Airport, just duck into the Duty
Free Store and purchase your very own iPod
without forking over 24 percent of the sales
price to the taxman. Accessories abound, so if
you need that docking station, or a hip carrying
case, no worries.
If you plan to stop over in Reykjavík, before
you leave check out the new Mac store on
Laugavegur 182 (534-3400) and pick up a G4
PowerBook. Not only is it tax-free for tourists,
but it’ll change your life, or at least make it a
heck of a lot simpler.
