A promotional guide to the early
summer days in Reykjavík.
Pikknikk – Icelandic for “picnic” – is an experimental design shop
opening this summer in a converted warehouse near the Reykjavík
harbor. Tucked away in one of Reykjavík’s best residential-indus-
trial neighborhoods, this concept shop will be both a place to buy
the latest from Iceland’s new designers and a venue you can book
to host your own Icelandic picnic. The shop’s proprietors will cater
small parties throughout the summer in the store, offering a hip,
relaxed alternative to downtown’s well-trodden bars and bistros.

Icelandic picnics on demand.
Pikknikk will be open from the beginning of June through the end
of July. Weekday hours will be 12pm – 6pm, and Saturdays 12pm
