Next year, Icelandair is proud to celebrate its 70th anniversary. And as part of our celebration, we’re pleased to offer cus-
tomers the largest schedule in the history of the company.
This spring, Icelandair will increase its number of flights by 17 percent, and introduce three new destinations into its
network, starting operations into Bergen, Norway, Gothenburg, Sweden and Halifax, Canada. Flights to the three new
destinations are scheduled three to four times a week to each destination.
Our flights to Bergen and Gothenburg will be an addition to the flights we already offer to the four Nordic capitals of
Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki, reflecting our emphasis on offering more frequent flights to our most impor-
tant market. On average, Icelandair will fly ten times every day to the Nordic countries next summer.
At the same time, we’re offering new possibilities for travelers between Europe and North America. Next summer, we’ll
offer three flights per week to Halifax, providing a new link for travelers between Canada and Europe. In addition, we’ll
offer morning flights from Keflavík to Boston and New York in the United States.
Beyond the introduction of these three new destinations, Icelandair has scheduled an increase in the number of flights
to Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Helsinki next summer. We schedule the number of flights to each destination with a
view towards offering our customers in Iceland and around the world a great schedule and service, while maintaining an
acceptable return on investment for our shareholders.
It’s clear that 2006 will be one of the best years ever for Icelandair, and we intend to do even better next year.
