Eygló Svala Arnarsdóttir, Contributing Writer #1 Eygló
received a BA in communication studies from the University of Erfurt,
Germany in 2004, and an MA in international journalism from the
University of Westminster, London in 2006. She is currently the web
editor for icelandreview.com.
Ragnar Axelsson, Contributing Photographer #2 Rax has
been a photographer at Morgunbladid, Iceland’s largest daily newspaper
for more than 30 years. He’s currently at work on his new book, Roundup.
His most recent book, Faces of the North, was published in 2005.
Greg Bocquet, Contributing Writer #3 After graduating from
UC Berkeley, Greg spent three years in the Peace Corps and then worked
as a researcher for the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C. He will
be attending the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in
New York this fall.
Inga María Brynjarsdóttir, Illustrator #4 Inga María holds
a degree in graphic design from the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Her
primary interests are in the fields of stop motion animation and illustration.
She currently works as a teacher at the Reykjavík School of Arts.
Helga Gudný Ásgeirsdóttir, Designer #5 Helga is currently
working at the advertising agency, Dagsverk, and is a graduate of the Art
Institute of Boston. She is the former creative brand manager for Össur,
an Icelandic prosthetics company, and is the designer of Páll Stefánsson’s
latest book, PS.
Sara Blask, Staff Writer #6 Sara’s work has appeared in
Outside, Men’s Journal, Plenty, and the Chicago Tribune, among others.
She holds a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate
School of Journalism in New York.
Lilja Gunnarsdóttir, Illustrator #7 Lilja studied at the Iceland
Academy of the Arts before moving to New York to attend the School of
Visual Arts, where she earned an MFA in photography.
