the outskirts of London.
“I thought things over very carefully and
took my time to decide. I felt good while
playing for Swansea, under the management
of Brendan Rodgers, and I am very grateful
to him for everything that he did for me.
But you have to make this decision yourself
and I felt that everything looked very good
at Tottenham. The team has a great group
of players and they have been doing really
well in recent years. I am very much look-
ing forward to being a part of this fine team
that I have always found very fun to watch,”
said Gylfi, who scored Swansea’s goal when
they lost 3:1 against Tottenham last season, on
Tottenham’s home ground, White Hart Lane.
Aren’t you afraid of dealing with the competi-
tion for a spot on the team?
“It doesn’t matter where you are when you
are in a league like the English Premier
League. There is extreme competition for a
spot on the team at all clubs. I am not afraid
of added competition and I think it will just
motivate me to improve myself.”

met few such skillful players who can run
