Atlantik delivers superb conference
planning services and exciting
incentive programs.
Iceland is playing in the big league of the conference business.
With the opening of Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Cen-
tre and the increase in hotels in Reykjavík the city is able to host
larger events that can accommodate hundreds—even thou-
sands—of guests.
WELL-ESTABLISHED
Atlantik and its sister-company Íslandsmót have operated in the
travel and conference service for over three decades and are in
higher demand than ever. “Iceland has been discovered by the
conference world as a possibility for bigger conferences,” said
Katrín Guðmundsdóttir, conference manager at Atlantik. “We
can see that from the increase in requests of events on a larger
scale.”
Atlantik, which was founded in 1978, is a well-established
professional conference organizer, an experienced provider of
destination management services and a leader in the cruise ser-
vice industry in Iceland. The company has grown, adapted and
assembled a team of more than 25 experts at organizing confer-
ences, meetings, events, incentive programs and shore excur-
sions for cruise passengers.
Atlantik is a family-run business with a dedicated staff excited
to take on diverse projects. The company was among the first
four agencies in Iceland to be awarded the prestigious VAKINN
certification in 2012. VAKINN is the Icelandic tourism industry’s
mark of excellence, awarded for safety, environmental sustain-
ability and social responsibility.
ENVIABLE INCENTIVES
The company has placed particular focus on delivering quality in-
centives in every region of Iceland. The team works with profes-
sionals to develop innovative and creative programs that will cre-
ate lasting memories and bring the magic and wonder of Iceland
to its guests. “We might not have old castles, but we know how
to find unusual and unique incentive, event and meeting venues
and locations,” says Katrín. Popular incentive programs include
walking through an ice cave, admiring natural hot springs and
geysers, super jeep safaris, whale watching under the midnight
sun, helicopter flights over amazing natural phenomena, and en-
joying lunch on a black sand beach.
UNRIVALED CUSTOMER SERVICE
Atlantik has a strong network of professionals and deep knowl-
edge of venues, framework, technology, how to enrich social
events and whom to call at any time. “We are like an accordion,”
says Katrín. “We can adapt to events of any size, and clients will
always have a personal expert who activates their team accord-
ing to the size and scope of the conference.” With all the details
and logistics handled by Atlantik, clients can focus on the con-
tent of the conference. “We solve problems, we anticipate all
scenarios, and we are always a step ahead and prepared with a
Plan B. We always go the extra mile and then some,” she says.
