ing its 20th anniversary in 2016, Your Host in Iceland is a Reyk-
javík-based conference company that has organized events for
local Icelandic groups, as well as large international companies,
and non-profits. The team is experienced and dedicated to de-
livering quality planning services with unrivaled customer ser-
vice. The company offers budgeting and scheduling services,
collects bids for event locations, books conference venues,
sources equipment and technical services, and assists in the de-
sign concept and printing of conference materials. In short, if

TOURS AND INCENTIVE PROGRAMS
In addition to conferences and meetings, Your Host in Iceland
organizes incentive trips and activities for guests. The team has

“What we aim to do is go beyond the Golden Circle and Blue
Lagoon,” says Inga Sólnes, founder and managing director of
Your Host in Iceland. “Iceland is a very special place, so why not

20TH ANNIVERSARY
Starting out as a small business in 1996, Your Host in Iceland has
grown considerably in terms of employee numbers, as well as
the size of events the company plans. “When we started there
weren’t many conference companies,” says Inga. “To celebrate
our anniversary and our success, we are redesigning our website
and giving our logo a new look. It’s an exciting time for us.”
As well as revamping their logo and website, the company is
launching its new name: Your Host in Iceland, which replaces
Gestamóttakan, which it has used since the company was found-
ed in 1996. The new name is meant to cater to and accommo-
date Your Host’s growing international client base, for whom
Gestamóttakan can seem a bit unwieldy.
