J. Skafel, of Brandon, Man., has been awarded a 1968 Ath- lone Fellowship for two years of ad- vanced studies in engineering at a university of his choice. Michael Skafel took his first two years of science at Brandon College, now the University of Brandon. He then went to the University of Sask- atchewan in Saskatoon where he obtained his Masters Degree from the same university on a National Re- search Council Scholarship. Since then he has been employed at the research telecommunications establishment, at Shirley Bay, Ont. Mr. Skafel has not yet decided at what university he is going to take this special advanced work in Engineering. ★ ★ Jon L. Swanson, BA/61, has been appointed Executive Assistant to the
