Vol. 71 #4 ICELANDIC CONNECTION 167 CFN ASGEIR REYMIR 8L0N0AHL Reynir (Ray) Blondahl was born September 5, 1919 at Wynyard, SK, son of Asgeir Inyimundarson and El In Fannev (Jonsdottir) Blondahl, who were both born In Iceland. Ray enlisted in the Royal Canadian Electrical 8 Mechanical Engineers in September, 1940. He served in Canada Italy, France and Holland and was discharged in January, 1946. SGT JON ALOMAR BLONDAHL Aldmar Blondahl was born June 8, 1914- I at Wynyard, SK. son of Asgeir Ingi- nundarson and El in Fanney (Jonsdottir.) ; 3* Blondahl, who were both born Tfi-wp$t Iceland. Aldnar enlisted in the Royal Canadian^ Air Force in May, 1942. He served with the Western Air Command on Vancouver v ■! Island and with the Northwest Air Cor. and in Whitehorse, Grande Prairie'!'" and Edmonton and received his discharger*'^ in PTE OMAR BLONOAHL C-ar 31or.dahl was born February 6, 1923 at Wynyard, SK. son of Asgeir Ingi- njndarson and El in Fanney (Jonsdottir) Blondahl, who were both born in Iceland. Onar enlisted in the Canadian Arrny 1940 and received a medical dfscha in 1941. LAC VALUR BLONOAHL Valur Blondahl was born July 27, 1915 at Wynyard, SK, son of Asgeir Ingi- mundarson and El in Fanney (Jonsdottir) Blondahl who were both born in Iceland. Valur enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on March 5, 1943 and served in Canada. He received his discharge in February, 1946. FIRST LT INGEBORG B0RGF0R0 Ingeborg Borgford was born February 4, 1912 at Arnes, MB, daughter of Jon Saenundson and Arnina (Anderson) Borgford. Jon was born in Borgafirdi and Arnina in Snaefellsnesi, Iceland. Ingeborg enlisted in the United States Army Nurse’s Corps on December 18, 1943. She served in Europe and the United States and received her discharge on March 16, 1946. LAC JOHN S. BORGFORD John Borgford was born July 11, 1914 at Arnes, M8, son of Jon Saenundson and Arnina (Anderson) Borgford. Jon was born in Borgafirdi and Arnina was born in Snaefellsnesi, Iceland. They later lived at Selkirk, MB. John enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on September 24, 1941 and trained at the University of SK and the RAF Radar School, Clinton, ON. He served in England with RAF Bomber Command as a Radar Mechanic and was discharged on October 10, 1945.
