LÖGBERG-HEIMSKRINGLA, FIMMTUDAGINN 8. JANÚAR 1970 T DÁNARFREGNIR Walíer Baldwin died on De- cember 15, 1969 at the Winni- peg General Hospital aged 79 years of 448 Sherbrook Street. Mr. Baldwin was a long tiime resident of Winnipeg. He was born in Baldur, Manitoba in 1890 and has lived in Win- nipeg since 1910. He was a machinery specialist in the Needle Trades Industry. He is survived by his be- loved wife of 53 years Emily, his sons Walter; Douglas and Stanley of Winnipeg; his daughter Mrs. R. Gilbert (Alma) of Raleigh, N.C.; one brother of Winnipeg and his grandchildren nieces and nep- hews. Alma Lillian Serafin, on December 7, 1969, Alma Lil- lian Serafin, aged 56 years, beloved wife of Anthony of 854 Banning Street. Mrs. Serafin was born in Winnipeg and had resided here all her life. She had been employed with the City of Winnipeg Dental Division for 30 years. She was a member of the Dental Nurses Association; and the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 500. Besides her husband Mrs. Serafin is survived by her mother Mrs. E. Dalman; one sister Mrs. Margaret Kargut; one brother Paul S. Dalman of Vancouver, B.C.; one niece Mrs. D. Deleeleer (Constance Alma) of Vancouver. B.C. Ingibjorg Dominia Peterson on December 16, 1969, Ingi- bjorg Dominia Peterson, aged 55 years years, beloved wife of Gudmundur of 692 Banning Street. Mrs. Peterson was born in Arborg, Manitoba. Be- sides her husband she is sur- vived by three daughters, Mrs. E. F. Lenoski (Verna) of Los Angeles; Linda and Nancy at home; four sons Robert, Don- ald, Raymond and Ross all of Winnipeg; five grandchildren; four brothers, Harry Gudjon- son and Si'g. Johnson of Ar- borg, Jack Bjerring of Fort William; Magnus Johnson of Winnipeg; two sisters, Miss Lily Johnson of Arborg, Mrs. J. Borley (Oddny) of Winni- peg. Wilbert Percival Thorstein- son, on December 16, 1969, after a lengthy illness, Wil- bert Percival Thorsteinson, age 76 years of 401 Main St., Selkirk, beloved husband of Freda. Mr. Thorsteinson was born in Gimli and came to Sel- kirk at an early age. He operated Thor’s Meats and Groceries for the past 43 years. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 42. Surviving are his wife Freda; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Gibbs (Doreen) Cal- gary, Mrs. R. Squires (Lillian) of Winnipeg; one son, Frank- lin (Bud) Selkirk; three sis- ters, Mrs. Wilfred Finnson (Clara) Mrs. Fred Corrigal (June) both of Winnipeg, Mrs. Runa Olson of Seattle, Washington; four brothers, John and Finni, both of Win- nipeg, Franklin and Alex of Selkirk; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Kristin Einarson, on Decem- ber 19, 1969, Kristin Einars- son, aged 77 years, of 22 Carriage Bay, Mrs. Einarsson was born in Iceland, coming to Canada in 1910. She is sur- vived by one son Ernie of Winnipeg; one daughter, Mrs. E. Magley (Eleanor) of Se- attle, Washington; ten grand- children; and three great- grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah Noble of Winnipeg, and Lulu Baron of Montreal; one brother Ben Goodman of Arborg. Mrs. Gudrun (Gertie) Robinson, on the 20th of De- cember, 1969, Mrs. Gertie Robinson, aged 90 years, of Windsor, Ont., and formerly of Winnipeg. Mrs. Robsinson was born in Iceland, and came to Canada as a child. She was a long time resident of Win- nipeg. Mrs. Robinson was pre- deceased by her hsuband, Henry Albert Robinson in 1944, and by a son, Harold, in 1920. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Iona K.) Rennie, of Windsor, and a son, Denton G. Robinson, of Fort William, Ont., a brother, Marus Brynjolfson, in River- ton, Man., and a sister, Mrs. E. W. (Margaret) Perry, of Winnipeg; 2 grandchildren, Denise and Patricia Robinson, Fort William. Walter Baldwin, on Decem- ber 15, 1969, Walter Baldwin, aged 79 years, of 448 Sher- brook Street. Harold Sigurdson, on Sun- day, December 14, 1969, Mr. Harold Sigurdson, aged 82 years, dearly beloved husband of Kristbjorg (Bertha) Sig- urdson of Ste. 4, the Rotary Home, Selkirk. Mr. Sigurdson had lived in Selkirk for the past 18 years and prior to that had resided in Westbourne, Man. for 34 years. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Harold of Littleton, Col- orado, and George of Winni- peg; four daughters, Mrs Orville (Hrefna) Peters of Field, B.C., Mrs. Dave (Olga) Egilson of Langruth, Mrs Hall (Flora) McKenzie of Duncan, B.C., and Mrs. Wil liam (Helen) Rendall of Win nipeg; a brother Jonas, in Iceland, and a sister, Mrs George (Stella) White of Winnipeg; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fred. T. (Freda) Isfeld, suddenly Wednesday, Decem- ber lOth, 1969, in Portage la Prairie, Mrs. Freda Isfeld, be- loved wife of Fred Isfeld of 1942 Crescent Road West. Born in Arborg, Manitoba, November 24, 1912, the dauglv ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. Gudmundson. She received her education in the Arborg school. Mr. and Mrs. Isfeld were married in 1932, and re- sided in the Langruth district until 1960, when they moved to reside in Portage la Prairie. Mrs. Isfeld was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, and the Ladies’ Aid of the church in Langruth. While living in Portage, she had been a mem ber of the Redeemer Luther- an Church. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Fred, a son Rick of Portage, four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs.. S. B. (Gudrun) Hom fjord of Arborg, Mrs. E. (Kristjana) Nutbrown of Burnaby, B.C.; three brothers, Edward and Stephan of Ar- borg; Triggir of Fort William, Ont. Gudny Helga Marteinsson, on December 27, 1969, at St. Benedict Manor, Arborg, Mrs. Gudny Helga Marteinsson, aged 75 years, dearly beloved wife of Edwin Marteinsson of Riverton, Manitoba. Besides her husband, Mrs. Marteins- son, a life-long resident of the Riverton district is silrvived by two sons, Edwin and Bjarni, both of Riverton, and foster son, Mr. Franklin Walterson of Lac du Bonnet, foster-sister, Mrs. Maria Doll of Riverton and five grandchildren. Olivcr Frcdcrick Bjornson, suddenly on December 29, 1969, in Vancouver, B.C., Oliver Frederick Bjornson, aged 48 years, beloved son of Mrs. Oliver G. Bjornson and brother of Mrs. Hugh Mac- donald (Muriel) of New Jer- sey, Mrs. C. C. Henderson (Margaret), of Toronto, and Mrs. Gordon Robb (Joyce) of Winnipeg. Gestny Kristjansson, on De- cember 30, 1969, at her home, 798 Banning Street, Mrs. Gestny Kristjansson, beloved wife of the late Ludvik Krist- jansson.
