Role description:
The successful candidate will provide
support relating to operational proce-
dures in the Internal Market Affairs
Directorate (e.g. checking compliance
with case handling procedures, col-
lecting data, producing statistics and
reports, using Excel in particular), and
provide general assistance to the
management and staff of the
Directorate. The successful candidate
may also be assigned additional tasks
by the Director.
Essential Skills:
l Relevant work experience and edu-
cation,
l Excellent command of written and
spoken English,
l Comfortable with figures and
statistics,
l Very good computer literacy, espe-
cially proficiency with MS Word,
Excel, Outlook and Power Point,
l Good organisational and communi-
cation skills,
l Flexibility and ability to work both
independently and in a team,
Desirable:
l Norwegian, Icelandic or German
langua ge skills (EFTA languages),
l Interest in European affairs,
l Experience in working on security
related issues.
Performance Indicators:
The performance indicators for this
position include oral and written com-
munication and presentation skills,
analytical skills and problem-solving,
quality and result orientation, compli-
ance with internal rules, processes
and instructions, as well as sociability
and teamwork, organisation skills,
autonomy, motivation to work, initia-
tive, transfer of knowledge, flexibility
and creativity and IT skills.
Conditions :
The position is placed at grade B5 of
the salary scale, starting at 45.578.88 €
per year. Appointments are normally
made at step 1 of the indicated grade.
Depending on, inter alia, the candi-
date’s family status, allowances and
