The Cover of Ardis,
As our readers will notice, Ardis has put on a
new dress on this her twenty-first anniversary. For
this we are indebted to a young artist of great
ability who has donated this symbolic picture for
the cover of our magazine: the strong, spiritual
and noble face of a woman in whose background
stands the home and the church conveys the ideal
we, the publishers, have been attempting to uphold.
The artist is Bjarni Thomas Bjarnason, son
of Gudmundur M. Bjarnason and his wife Halldora
P. Bjarnason of Winnipeg. He was born March 24,
1925, in Winnipeg. He is a graduate of Minzinger
Art Institute, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A., His sister,
Ingibjorg Bjarnason, is on our editorial staff.
The warmest appreciation is extended to
Thomas by the publishing committee and all those
who read Ardis. It is our prayer that a beautiful,
long future is ahead where his talent may be
developed and his great ability appreciated.
