an outdoor altar on the Camp grounds. That dream had now been
realized and the outdoor altar would be dedicated, Sunday, June
28th, 1953, by Pastor Martin Ruccius, a Lutheran Missionary from
Africa who is on furlough in Selkirk, Man. In the absence of all the
ministers of the synod this arrangement was made as the altar
was to be dedicated at the Annual Rally of the Sunday School
teachers held at Camp.
Library — It was decided to finish the library room. The finan-
cial statement showed money on hand, June lst, 1953, $252.83.
Sunday Schools — That Sunday Schools be carried on in each
district.
Temperance — Mrs. Margret Bardal, Lutheran Women’s League
delegate to the Manitoba Temperance Alliance gave a report. A
donation of $25 was made to the M.T.A. funds.
Ardis—Financial report submitted by Mrs. Ingunn Gillies, busi-
ness manager of the annual publication now in its twenty-first
year. 750 copies were printed and all sold. Ardis fund, total receipts
$1,048.55; Disbursements, $996.61; Receipts over disbursements,
$51.94; Balance carried forward from last year, $963.05; Funds on
hand, May 31st, 1953, $1,014.99. There will be no change in Ardis
this year.
Handicraft — Mrs. Wathne gave an oral report on the work done
in Camp. The Annual Name Quilt will be made this year by Mrs.
Asta Erickson, Selkirk.
