P.I.O. trilogy will be launched in
Gallery Lost Horse this Saturday
August 23. The gathering itself is
subsequent to various projects
P.I.O has been working on but the
rugged rockers in Singapore Sling
will hold P.I.O. in this exhibition.
The of the while thing is to bridge
the gap between Rock’n’Roll and
visual art more thoroughly than
before. Guests will be offered a
chaotic state of mind in numerous
ways and finally Singapore Sling
will premiere a pair of new music
videos.
Akureyrarvaka
Sat August 29
The town of Akureyri throws
this celebrated festival this
last Saturday of August; the
celebration is also the grand
finale of the Akureyri Art Summer.
The fete will be launched in
Akureyri’s dear town’s garden
that will be lit up and for many
walking around in the garden in
the twilight zone is the festival’s
climax. Subsequent to the
opening ceremony the infamous
Ghost-parade will commence.
The festival’s program is varied
and you can find events such
as Symphony concerts but also
various artistic instalments on the
streets.
The Opening of Skólavörðustígur
Sat August 16
The glamorous street of
Skólavörðustígur has been
closed for a while due to some
construction work but this
Saturday it will be opened
again and that is of course
a tremendous reason for
celebration. The fun will begin
with the mayor opening the street
at 2 PM and several acts will be
performed all day through. The
selection is rather grand but
upcoming band such as Gavin
Portland, Retro Stefson and Agent
Fresco will allow by-passers to
check out their new stuff and
various dance groups and artists
will show their skills.
