THE WHITE FALCON
MAJ R.S. Nakonechny, ESN. What’s
that you say, a major in the U.S. Navy.
Yep, that's what we said. MAJ Nakon-
echny, a Royal Canadian Air Force ex-
change officer, serving with Patrol
Squadron 24, examines his shirt with
U.S. Navy lieutenant commander's
collar devices. MAJ Nakonechny's
fellow crewmembers “Americanized
his Canadian uniform upon his recent
promotion to major. LT Ron Cumings,
institutor of the plot, looks on in fore-
ground.

USO Release
Could it be Mrs. James, that your
daughter is allergic to llirch trees?
At any rate, the Officer's Wives Club
has purchased 64 Icelandic Hirch trees
which were planted around the housing
areas on base. Each year more trees
are to be planted, and hopefully, some-
day we won’t have to look at the flags
or check the waves on mud puddles to
see if the wind is blowing!
