Bantam bowling stars feted
The Keflavik Bantam Bowling
League paid tribute to its out-
standing keglers last week in a
bowling banquet at the 56 Club.
Taking first place team honors
was the team of James Brown, Di-
ane McFarland, Mike Thome, Kevin
Cummings and Joel Ortiz.
Team #12 was second. Its mem-
bers were Robert Goetz, Jay Dai-
gre, Diane Campo, Mark Morrow and
Joy Drake.
Winning a third place trophy
was team #2, consisting of John
Hyman, Bill Winsworth, Jim Pear-

Keglers bowl
3 & 1 night
for Tuesday league
It was 3 and 1 night last
Tuesday: All the winning teams
took the former and the losers
the latter.
Chuck Glendening and his 57th
FIS #2 teammates secured a solid
hold on first place as Chuck rol-
led a 214/563 to take three points *
from NSGA #1. Keith Powell led
SecGru with a 518 series.
Rockville #2 took the first
two games, the second by only one
pin, and then held off a hard
charge by NavFac to pick up three
points. Don Poteat's 527 led the
victors, while Frank Krause led
NavFac with a 497.
BOQ's Nestor Santa Ana rolled a
pair of 200's to finish with a
572 series and lead his fellow
keglers to three wins over We,
pons. Joel Johnson led the Wi
pons squad with a 511.
Ron Berry and Commsta #3 set
records on lanes 3 and 4 as Ron
rolled a 247, a new season high
game, had a 618 series, the
night's high, and three wins over
AMD #2. Jim Kyker led AMD with a
465 series.

wins overthe Black Knights. John
McCarron was high for the Knights
with a 540.
Food Service #1, led by Burt
Escalar and his 551 took three
off of AirOps #1, despite Jay
Butler's 224/542.
OCFC final count
With 76% participation by the
naval station personnel, the Over-
seas Combined Federal Campaign
completed its annual drive. Per-
sonal donations averaged $6.01,
with a net contribution of $11,-
453.16.
Nine commands and units re-
corded 100% participation. They
were: 552nd AEW & C Wing, Ice-
land Defense Force, Coast Guard,
R0ICC, NISRA, ARRS Det. 14, Com-
missary,* Courier Transfer Station
and the Marine Barracks.
Activities with the highest
average contribution were: 552nd,
$25; Dependent Schools, $14.3
IDF, $33.62; Coast Guard, $11.7
