he makes the shot in the putting contest. Stand-
ing by keeping the score is Dave Devaney, with
a couple of by-standers.
The horseshoe tournament, played in double for-
mation, started with 16 players. Coming out on the
winners end was Dick Plante and his partner
Bill Anderson. Good challengers, but ending up in
second place were Red Erabrey and Ray Drury.
The 50-yard dash was won by Ted Grobelmy, while
right on his heels and cut short at the finish
line was Gerald Duncan. Vem Helms took the
women's 50-yarder, with Berry Richards taking sec-
ond place.
One of the last events held was the Marathon.
It consisted of two laps around the fastpitch and
little league ball fields. Ed Hummel led the pack
by approximately 100-yards ahead of second place
finisher Art Lattanzi.
Dick Plante boots the pigskin, in the football
kicking contest. This event resulted into a four
way tie, with Chuck Nason settling the battle.
