The Federal Voting Assistance Office (FVAO) allows overseas per- sonnel to register to vote in their home state and receive ab- sentee ballots by filling out an application which is in postcard form. The FVAO has issued a new Federal Postcard Application form and these new forms should be a- vailable in the Legal Office, Bldg. T-170, in about two months. But the old forms are available and are still good to be used. However, a few states treat the older form only as a request for state registration forms and will send separate documents to be sub- mitted as a request for a ballot. Plan ahead and submit your ap- plication for a ballot or to reg- ister early. Use your vote; don't lose it. See your Departmental Voting Assistance Officer or the Naval Station Legal Office.
