After a summer of playing countless shows throughout Iceland
and Europe, rising local favourites Low Roar return to Reykjavík
to celebrate the release of their second album, ‘0’. With its
evocative, ethereal indie rock, ‘0’ has received international
acclaim across the blogosphere, with more praise sure to come.
The new album currently occupies the third spot on the Icelandic
album charts, but considering just how good the album is, it
wouldn’t be surprising to see it shoot to the top. Don’t miss the
chance to see Low Roar perform live on their home turf before
they set off on a sprawling tour of the U.S., Canada and Europe.
Supporting Low Roar will be Icelandic superband Mr. Silla. TC

Greg Larkin from the UK is hopping over to Iceland to play for
two nights. He may only be playing the guitar he carries on his
back, but don’t let that fool you—this self-taught musician has
soaked up a wealth of experience and incorporates it into his work.
This manifests itself in an unexpected combination of rock riffs,
flamenco, jazz, funk, and even classical music. This eclectic style is
both a thrill to listen to and watch, as Greg’s fingers fly all over the
guitar during his performance. AH
