“We could not be happier with
Gentle Giants. We had a trip to
Grimsey Island booked.... We had
a great breakfast at Grimsey and
then our island guide drove us
around the island to see the sites.
The sheer number of puffins we
saw were unreal and the scenery
was incredible.... On the way back
they made some time for whale
watching and we were lucky to
have a humpback surface right
beside the boat.... Outstanding
service and this trip was the best
part of my visit to Island!”

“The name of the company,
Gentle Giants, says it all! How the
Humpback Whale surfaces and
then submerges again, leaving
its tail to the last and then gently
sinking back into the deep with
only a slight swirl to indicate
where it was - pure magic! We
sailed on the Sylvia and must
have spent at least an hour in the
company of one of these huge
creatures almost right beside us
(we saw another one too, not
quite so close). It didn’t seem
bothered by us in the least...”

“A beautifully clear day with a
gentle breeze from the north.
Warm, cosy, all in one Gentle
Giant insulated suits - brand new
and really easy to put on (you
don’t even have to take your
shoes off). Then out to sea on
board the Sylvia for a wonderful
and exciting three hours watch-
ing humpback whales.…”

“It was a cold foggy evening but
after 1 hour of seeing nothing we
were literally surrounded by blue
whales just a few feet from our
boat. We were rushing from one
end of the boat to the other. We
then went further out and same
thing happened with the hump-
backs. This trip was spectacular
and really enjoyed the hot
chocolate and cinnamon rolls on
the way back. Highly recommend
this adventure.”
