JAZZ BEFORE CHRISTMAS

The outstanding German Jazz duo with
pianist Markus Burger and saxophonist
Jan von Klewist plays Christmas hymns.
The concert is held in collaboration with
the German embassy in Iceland.

Festive sounds at New Years Eve!
December 31 New years Eve! at 5-5.45 pm.
Wonderful musical fireworks at New Year’s! Three trumpets, a gigantic organ
and timpani salute the New Year in Hallgrimskirkja. Our New Year concert has
become a very popular tradition in Reykjavik. Featured this year are the works
of Vivaldi, Bach and Albinoni.
Performers: Ásgeir H. Steingrímsson, Eiríkur Ö. Pálsson, Einar St. Jónsson
trumpets, Eggert Pálsson timpani and Björn Steinar Sólbergsson organ.
Admission: 3.500 ISK
The Motet Choir of Hallgrimskirkja has for over thirty years brought Christmas joy to
Iceland. This year the choir is joined by the organ and a brass quartet from the Icelandic
Symphony Orchestra performing wonderful Advent and Christmas music. It will be a
most festive moment in the beautifully decorated church.
